Vince Vaughn’s Daughter Named Locklyn Kyla

Actor Vince Vaughn, 40, and his wife Kyla Weber, became first-time parents on December 18 with the arrival of their daughter Locklyn Kyla in Chicago.

They came up with an interesting twist on the classic Scottish boy’s name Lachlan, by adapting it, apparently, to the feminine Locklyn, which is a name variant that I have not seen before. The name Lachlan is of Gaelic origin, and means one who is “from the land of lakes.” (That would be Norway, not Wisconsin).

Whether they consciously based their daughter Locklyn’s name on Lachlan, perhaps we will hear about in due course.
