Nicole Kidman’s Christmas Baby Via Gestational Carrier
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday
Nicole Kidman, 43, and her husband Keith Urban, also 43, kept it under wraps all through New Year — they welcomed a baby girl via gestational carrier (meaning she is their biological baby) on December 28 in Nashville. The baby’s name is Faith Margaret.
The name Faith needs no explanation — a very traditional, religious name. The name Margaret comes originally from the Greek word “margaron” meaning ”pearl.” It has been a very popular name since the Middle Ages, and its variants are found in many languages.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect to Kidman naming her daughter Faith is its contrast to the name of her 2 year-old daughter, Sunday Rose. From the very unique (and somewhat controversial) Sunday, to the traditional Faith. Although if you think about Sunday in its Christian sense, then perhaps Faith is not so unusual after all.
