Happy First Father’s Day!
Yesterday was Father’s Day, and the first Father’s Day for a lot of celebrity dads! Some of the most recent proud poppas include The Avengers resident muscle man, Chris Hemsworth, and Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins.
There’s no word on the length of paternity leave from Hollywood, but Hemsworth has his own work cut out for him! Spanish actress Elsa Pataky informed her husband that she would only be speaking Spanish to their new daughter, India Rose, born on May 11. The Thor actor will need to work on his español if he wants to keep up! Does that mean we’ll get to see Hemsworth in some intense Spanish speaking roles in the future? The new dad summed up the excitement of his new tiny human when he told Access Hollywood, “It’s great. We’re having a great time.”
Rollins was granted paternity leave from the Phillies roster, which is just a short 3-day stint. Still, the very baseball sounding “paternity leave list” was just introduced by MLB officials in 2011—lucky for Rollins! Hopefully he has had more time to spend with his new daughter, Camryn Drew, and wife Johari Smith, who will celebrate their daughter being 1-month old on June 20.
