The pregnancy heard round the world has reportedly come to a happy ending.  According to E!, Kim Kardashian gave birth to a healthy baby girl on Saturday, June 15th at the Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.  By her side during the natural delivery was partner Kayne West, also reported by a source close to E!.  No details were made available, including the name, height, and weight of the new arrival.  However sister Khloe Kardashian tweeted her reaction following the birth, saying “I can not even begin 2describe the miracle that is now apart of our family.  Mommy/baby are healthy & resting. We appreciate all the love”.  Khloe, also said, of the lack of details, “will come when the time is right!”.  This is the first child for Kardashian and West, and a big congratulation is in order for the happy parents.

Rapper and soon to be father Kanye West was recently profiled in the New York Times.  In the long article he touches upon nearly any topic, answering in the grandiose way that he has become known over the years.  But one question and subsequent answer really stuck out.  When asked about his impending fatherhood, West responded, “Well, I just don’t want to talk to America about my family.  Like, this is my baby.   This isn’t America’s baby.”  I guess he makes a valid point about the nature of privacy and celebrity and the expectation of information for the consuming public.  The traditionally touchy musician and girlfriend Kim Kardashian are set to become first time parents to a baby girl very soon.  Is he excited?  Is he nervous?  What does he expect?  We’ll never know.
